Being the youngest in the class I wasn’t sure how she would go along, but the class is so fun and so well designed for this age group that she has a ball. It was 30 minutes a week of external engagement for her at a time when all other scheduling was around her sister’s schooling. When she eventually got to go to Rain & Luckyin person she stopped and exclaimed “mum, miss Barsh is real!” like it was magic and she’s been skipping into class ever since. In subsequent lockdowns Miss Barsh has done a remarkable job of continuing to make zoom classes engaging for such young children. I reckon her classes are by far the best group classes that we’re doing online across school and co-curricular, you can really tell how much thought has gone into the format and content even before she brings all that energy during the class.
